Wrong Size Life

words and music by Udo Klopke

“Leave me, I don´t want to talk today.
There is nothing left to say”, she said.
“By the way, I think we should separate for a while,
I got to find myself again.”
Well, what sounds like the end could be the beginning of something,
yet you ain´t got a name for it.

But your convictions come to doubt, rhymes just can´t be found
and you ask yourself:
How could things turn out this way.

Wrong size life on, will fit you someday.
The road we ride on will lead us somewhere
to where tomorrows yet to come, so put a smile on.

The cards that you get where never ment to win,
a life like a manual that you can´t understand
a map without sense, that leads you to doubt
you wake up in the cold and the fire is out
and you wait for the hand that will help you up again
and a voice that comes softly through the pouring rain, saying:

“What took you so long, make yourself at home
and just let me explain: it´s not just on you to take this blame

Wrong size life on, will fit you someday.
The road we ride on will lead us somewhere

You´re waiting in line to get baptized,

the turn is on you but the river runs dry

So the plain and simple trouth
what it all comes down to lies before your eyes
There must be someone out there wearin´your life
