Up All Night

words and music by Udo Klopke

The sunlight hits our sleepy faces far too soon
We´re too late again but this bathroom is big enough for two
I watch you comb your hair, as the room fills up with your perfume
And there is nothing that I´d rather do, but being here with you

But our ways seperate until on evening´s crossroads we meet again
And I find myself gazing, meanwhile my coffee grows cold
By the station we´ll sit, like two strangers we´ll wait fort he bus to come
You smile at me and rain will fall, rain will fall

I count the hours, I count them twice, they run like sirup from a knife
When all I want from them ist to pass me by
My hands get wet, my mouth gets dry
The sun goes down and you´ll be mine, you´ll be mine

And we´ll be up all night, from the dawn tot he sunset we fly
We´ll be two castaways ´til the break of dawn
When there is music and dancing, we will be surely around
We´re two fireflys, turn around in a ray of moonlight
But as I raise my head I still find myself,
sitting here watching the minutes passing

So we´ll dance all night, just as if there would be no morning
In every club oft the town we´ll be the last on the floor
And when the sun rises up, you´ll be sitting next to me, yawning
And there´ll be nothing that I´d rather do, but being here with you

I count the hours, I count them twice, they run like sirup from a knife
When all I want from them ist to pass me by
My hands get wet, my mouth gets dry
The sun goes down and you´ll be mine, you´ll be mine

And we´ll be up all night, from the dawn tot he sunset we fly
We´ll be two castaways ´til the break of dawn
When there is music and dancing, we will be surely around
We´re two fireflys, turn around in a ray of moonlight
But as I raise my head I still find myself,
sitting here watching the minutes passing
