Long Distance Runner
words and music by Udo Klopke
Lately I woke up and felt a thought crossing my mind,
but I couldn`t fix it.
Think that I left some of my old habits far behind
didnn`t even miss them
I remember times when I couldn`t fall to sleep
When I was running on a never ending street
Now I think, what answer did I hope to find
When I don`t even know about the question,
I´m a long distance runner, on my way to you
And it`s never been so clear, that the reason why I`m here
Is to keep running on and on
I don`t know for what reason I have hurt you like I did
Sometimes I wonder `bout the madness that keeps turning in my head
And if there is a secret how to love and not to keep
And you´re waiting there to tell me let me add here just one thing
Cause from a long distance runners point of view
You`ll never find a mountain until he finds you
There may be things you haven`t seen yet and I guess that they are
better off without you
I´m a long distance runner, on my way to you
And it`s never been so clear, that the reason why I`m here
Is to keep running on and on
Like there is no rhyme without a reason, there is no swimming without
a ground, I watch the year turning through seasons,
and I can hear the changing Sound of the wind that comes across the sea
and tells about the upcoming September rain
We are long distance runners, me and you
Long distance runners, me and you,
me and you,
me and you
